Meet Tyler English

tyler-headshotMy name is Tyler English. I’m the owner and Fitness Director of Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camps. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) with the prestigious National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I’m also a lifetime Natural Bodybuilder and a Professional with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF)..

I’ve been helping people reshape their bodies and change their lives since 2001. Along the way I’ve become a real world fat loss and core training expert, and I’ve mastered the art of providing results in a group environment.

I started Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camps because I realized there were many people who weren’t comfortable with the idea of going to a gym or a health club. Some were too intimidated. Others don’t like the high-pressure sales tactics and the contracts associated with health clubs. And some just wanted more privacy.

But above all else, the main problem I discovered was the lack of results most health club members actually get. They pay their monthly dues. They workout 3 times a week like they’re told by the club staff…

But they just don’t get results.

When I started Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camps, I vowed to give people the help and guidance they didn’t get at the health club. Exercise does work. But you have to have a plan.

The health clubs give you the same “cookie-cutter” exercise routine they give everyone else.

Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work that way. Of course it doesn’t help that the staff “trainer” is a 19 year old, fresh out of high school kid that makes $7 an hour.

Exercise isn’t his life, his passion. He doesn’t understand what it takes to provide top notch service. And in his mind, he’s not really making enough money to care.

I’ve wanted to be a personal trainer since I started college. I’m now living my dream. Everyday I work with people from all walks of life in the Farmington Valley area, and I help them improve their level of fitness and burn away body fat they thought they could never get rid of.

I take this very seriously. I do it because it’s my passion, but it’s also how I earn my living, how I support my family. This is my life…
